I வித்திய அ ಅ ʻsṟā - ḷaṅkam I am sorry for causing joy or sorrow, (not knowing) that it does not last for more than a moment. Fear is the only thing in the world that is worthy of grief. All other worldly things are also transient and what causes sorrow in this world does not endure. I am sorry I did not lend a helpful hand, when You were in trouble. Please forgive me my Lord. Please do not allow Your anger to erupt from within, but from within forgive me for not being able to save You from the suffering caused by the cruel people. Please do not give up Your body on this earth and disappear into a cave in a mountain or into a lonely place far away, but be present in this world of suffering that is pervaded by sorrows and live among us. II வித்தி அ ā - śrī - ṇa - dhṛṇā gandhā - dharmaḥ I am sorry for not being able to fulfil Your holy duties, which had been prescribed by Your divine speech. This speech is a code of conduct and a law. My Lord, You have so many divine duties and so many things to do in Your marvelous world. I am sorry I have not performed good deeds that are good for me and enough to please God. Please forgive me my Lord whenever my deeds have failed. Please forgive me my Lord. III வித்தி அ ā - śrī - dhṛṇā dhātu sūtra - dharmaḥ I am sorry for not being able to follow the divine scriptures, which are the essence of Your divine speech. I am sorry for not having given divine offerings to Your Devas with devotion and faith. Please forgive me my Lord whenever my deeds have failed. Please forgive me my Lord. IV வித்தி அ ā - dhṛṇā dhātu sūtra - dharmaḥ I am sorry for not having accepted the divine precepts (for performing rituals) that were ordained by Your divine speech. I am sorry for not having performed sacred deeds which are good for me and enough to please God. Please forgive me my Lord whenever my deeds have failed. Please forgive me my Lord. cfa1e77820
